position summary: lead, manage, and provide technical direction to a product development engineering team for a major product, system, or program. Defines plans and monitors costs and technical performance; coordinates the technical effort and establishes operational plans to accomplish program objectives.
to supervise and coordinate the division laboratory engaged in the machining, fabrication and construction of pilot models and testing of components and products.
responsibilities
* responsible for the maintenance and growth of current product lines
* provides guidance relative to technical and product modification
* manages core/sustaining department, including budget, staffing, and engineering protocols
* leads design engineering activities for current product lines
* define plans and monitor costs and technical performance for a major product development and/or core engineering project or multiple projects
* represents the organization as the technical liaison in providing solutions to customer problems
* takes appropriate steps to protect and safeguard our intellectual property
* develop and analyze the operating budget; projects and plans for future needs (e.g. workforce planning; introduction of new technologies)
* works with business development and program management to identify new business opportunities, present the product capabilities, and clarify customers’ technical requirements
* identify and create technical training and development plans
* work with local and international teams from different divisions to administer and manage specific product projects
qualifications
* bachelor’s in engineering trade or related
* advanced degree preferred
* fluent english for business conversations
* experience: +5 years in the same level
