role and responsibilities
the work model for the role is focused on contributing to the electrification business in juarez, nuevo leon. You will be responsible for local import/export operations and supervising the performance of customs brokers. You will ensure smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.
* acting as point of contact for customs brokers for clarification needs (e.g., valuation or classification of products).
* auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.
* managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
* maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
qualifications for the role
* bachelor’s degree in international trade, commerce, logistics or industrial engineering.
* 2+ years of experience in logistics and transportation roles.
* experience in sap.
* experience in import and export.
* immex experience.
* required oea certification.
* intermediate to advanced excel skills for logistics data analysis and reporting.
* intermediate english proficiency.
