responsibilities
* collaborate with a team of analysts in generating, preparing, and reviewing commodity contracts related to various energy markets.
* reconcile trade details across internal systems with broker confirmations and counterparty contracts.
* obtain necessary approvals and affirmations for all contracts in a timely manner.
* coordinate with schedulers, traders, legal, credit, and tax departments to verify and confirm contract terms.
* evaluate proposed changes to contract terms, ensuring alignment with company standards.
* analyze contract language to identify and mitigate potential risks to the company and its shareholders.
* ensure all contract terms comply with our corporate risk policy and operational standards.
* liaise daily with regional offices and escalate any contract-related issues that conflict with our risk policy to management.
* prepare and distribute daily contract status reports for management review.
* support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
