Responsible for executing the established strategy, in conjunction with production planning, to ensure the availability of materials that allow the timely satisfaction of customer demand and compliance with the established objectives.
- monitor the logistics flow, both external and internal, to have an optimal operation, which includes the support of international traffic operations, from the moment the materials are delivered by suppliers until they are received at the plant and made available for production.
- maintain direct contact with the customer and closely follow up on their requirements; in order to establish, in conjunction with production and material planning, the most appropriate manufacturing strategy to ensure the timely fulfillment of customer demand and compliance with inventory level objectives.
- planning of raw materials and ensuring that the personnel in charge comply with applicable safety, hygiene, ergonomics, ecology and environmental regulations.
- management and control of customer demand
- ensuring that suppliers are receiving releases (requirements) issued by the corresponding means (edi/swp).
- evaluating supplier performance against deliverables and reporting, both internally and externally, within the company and group.
- coordinate and ensure the correct implementation of edi communication with suppliers.
- assurance of target delivery score with customers.
- administration and maintenance of the respective modules in the company's business system (erp) / correct data integration.
- proper coordination of engineering changes in the system and with suppliers.
- verification of the adherence of raw material inventory levels according to the established strategy.
- communicate to production planning any changes in component inventory that affect the production plan.
- request cycle counts of materials as required.
- investigation of raw material inventory discrepancies using information analysis tools to arrive at the root cause of the problem and the definition of its solution.
- determining the need for extraordinary freight according to the level of risk, and coordinating with traffic the expediting process, as needed.
- coordination and support with the pertinent information to the foreign trade area.
