what you'll do:
•financial governance: lead the consolidation of financial information for mexico and argentina, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with ifrs standards.
•process transformation: audit and restructure existing financial and administrative workflows, moving the department from manual processing to a high-efficiency, automated model.
•systems management: take full ownership of the erp system (navision), ensuring data integrity and driving continuous improvement in system utilization.
•compliance & tax: oversee internal tax calculations, labor law compliance, and social security obligations in accordance with mexican regulations.
•treasury & cash flow: manage and optimize working capital, accounts payable/receivable, and liquidity planning.
•stakeholder management: act as a trusted advisor to the local general manager while maintaining a direct, transparent reporting line to the global ceo in japan.
who you are:
•8–10+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles, ideally within multinational industrial or manufacturing environments.
•technical expert: strong knowledge of ifrs, mexican tax regulations, and payroll administration.
•erp savvy: advanced proficiency in erp systems (navision, sap, or similar) and a willingness to engage with the technical details of the software.
•hands-on experience with contpaqi payroll and expert-level command of idse, sua, and sipare portals.
•bilingual communicator: full professional fluency in english and spanish is mandatory, as you will report directly to leadership in japan.
•mindset: you possess high integrity, a problem-solving orientation, and the resilience to drive results in a matrixed, multicultural organization.
