Overview
senior manager, commodity management & sourcing - professional services is a leadership role focused on driving sourcing excellence, supplier performance, and cost optimization across assigned categories within carrier. The role directly impacts operational efficiency, supplier reliability, and global business success.
key responsibilities
* providing strategic leadership and oversight for assigned commodities to maximize business value
* conducting operational and spend analysis, developing and executing annual sourcing strategies
* leading supplier negotiations, performance management, and operational support
* awarding contracts within spending limits and identifying new qualified sources of supply
* partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve strategies
* analyzing supplier operations to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance
* developing strategic plans for commodities or key suppliers
* managing relationships with one or more strategic accounts within assigned commodities
* leading the sourcing process from rfq to contract signature
* ensuring supplier performance meets delivery, quality, and cost expectations
requirements

as a minimum you must have
* bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in global commodity management or business
* experience in professional services categories (hr, ehs, engineering, legal services, marketing)
* strong communication skills and business acumen
* ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results
* proven ability to work independently and influence globally
nice to have
* mba or advanced degree
* 7+ years of experience in global supply chain or business
* consultancy and services procurement experience
* experience resolving complex problems with both tangible and intangible variables
