the role is an integral part of the fp&a financial systems reporting team, tasked with providing advanced reporting and automation support to users worldwide. This role involves deep technical work, focusing on analyzing, improving, and documenting financial reports, participating in projects to enhance reporting solutions, and leveraging programming skills to implement new technologies. The analyst will develop and optimize scripts, use cloud-based solutions, and employ tools such as python, sql, and bi platforms to create automated and efficient reporting systems. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in data warehousing, etl processes, and api integrations to ensure seamless data flows. The analyst collaborates with it and business units to optimize financial reporting systems and drive continuous improvements and innovation.
Detailed responsibilities:
1. Integrate and standardize financial reports from regional, country, and corporate teams into the fp&a fsp reporting team, ensuring consistency and accuracy through advanced data integration techniques.
2. Design, develop, and maintain onestream cube views and reports to meet organizational needs, automating repetitive reporting tasks using programming languages such as python to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
4. Conduct comprehensive fit/gap analyses to assess current system capabilities and provide detailed recommendations for system enhancements that align with business objectives and improve reporting automation.
5. Develop and maintain thorough documentation on requirements, functional specifications, testing procedures, and system configurations, ensuring all documentation adheres to industry best practices and internal standards.
7. Work closely with it professionals to coordinate and test system infrastructure improvements, liaising with business units to gather requirements, provide training, and ensure effective use of reporting tools.
8. Drive the development of innovative reporting solutions leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies, staying updated with emerging trends in technology and financial reporting to introduce new ideas and improvements to the team.
