The Controller Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting, budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.
General Responsibilities
- Manages accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts
- Maintains the integrity of the general ledger, including the review of accounting records and financial statements
- Reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports
- Ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported, and are in compliance with accounting guidelines and internal policies
- Leads the developing, modifying and executing of company policies
- Responsible for coordinating, administering, and controlling financial operations
- Account and research for any budget variances, reporting significant discrepancies to management
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Supervises the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements
- Manages accounting integration activities for post-acquisition closing, which includes but is not limited to, process mapping, accounting policy harmonization and systems integration
- Recruits, trains, develops, coaches, and manages team to ensure priorities and deliverables are met
- Develop goals and prepare performance assessments annually, in a timely manner
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
