this position is for the permanent role of maintenance and engineering supervisor at the nsk plant.
job description
as a maintenance engineer, you will oversee the continuous operation of equipment and machinery, utilizing computerized systems for routine maintenance and repairs. You will also be involved in control and monitoring devices and may participate in manufacturing items that aid maintenance, playing a vital role in efficiency, development, and production.
you will work with other professionals to improve production facilities, reduce costly breakdowns, and develop strategies to enhance overall reliability and safety of the plant, personnel, and processes.
as a supervisor, you will mentor and lead team members, fostering an environment of mentorship, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
accountabilities
* lead and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to optimize services and capabilities of existing and new equipment.
* coordinate with client departments, customers, and colleagues to maintain optimal equipment functionality and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance.
* diagnose breakdown problems.
* install new parts and ensure equipment operates correctly.
* perform quality inspections on maintenance jobs.
* manage maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
* monitor and control maintenance costs.
* enhance health and safety policies and procedures.
* develop maintenance strategies for installation and commissioning guidelines.
* work with specialized equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (plc), to control machinery on factory lines.
qualifications
* 4-year degree preferably in electromechanical engineering or a related field.
* at least 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a leadership role within manufacturing.
* equivalent education and experience are acceptable.
* proficiency in english (75%).
* technical expertise in industrial building, health, safety, and environmental codes and practices.
* proficiency with pc programs (microsoft word, excel, etc.).
* proficiency in programmable logic controllers (plc).
* experience with mp10 or maximo is highly preferred.
* ability to develop strategic relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
additional qualifications include: mechatronics engineering background with at least 6 years of experience, supervisory experience, experience with medical device machinery validation, software packages, tpm, lean manufacturing tools, refrigeration, electrical diagrams, control systems, and participation in automation processes.
