job description
purpose of job: manage professional technical service across north-latam region, according to technical service plans, sales requirements and marketing/key account strategies and guidelines. Translate customer needs into appropriate technical solutions, strategic innovation initiatives & services. Define product specifications and methods. Lead technical product introduction, trouble shooting and complaint handling. Manage technical content for promotion initiatives and materials in the assigned industries/application fields. Presentations to public and education of internal functions. Actively monitor in the field of responsibility the tech performance of the competitive products landscape and initiate counter measures. Coordinate regional activities for the technical marketing teams and lead relevant projects.
function 1: product portfolio: product related services and tasks
* delivers professional technical service to all target accounts for north-latam region.
* identifies technical customer issues and provides product or service-oriented consultancy.
* supports and trains regional network of technical application centers, csd, marketing and other functions.
* provides technical content for promotion material/tools developed by marketing for the target applications.
* develops technical documentation material for target industries/applications.
* manage and lead customer support addressing their regulatory/legislative requirements together with ps.
function 2: market & competition mangement
* evaluates market needs across the region and trend technologies together with marketing and the sales organization.
* ensures up-to-date competition knowledge; evaluate test results and initiate counter measure.
* manages and controls specific customer projects by introduction of new products, applications and services offers specific problem-solving measures and tools & represent the working area in form of presentations.

qualifications
education: master's degree, chemistry, chemical engineer or equivalent
technical experience (>15 years) in application development/technical service. Commercial oriented
project management & regional customer relationship skills.
industry and field experience > 15 years; seniority and standing in front of customers/critical discussions
experience in different functions/countries (mexico, colombia, central america & the caribbean)
