The Materials Superintendent has the main responsibility for the execution and support of the strategic plan of the Materials Management for which he must lead, supervise, and advise his team in charge, ensuring that the functions and measurables of the department are met.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with customer demand to ship in a timely manner.
* Ensure the supply of raw materials in the appropriate quantity and in the time required to execute production programs. Follow-up with planners to close DMR's, Dlog.
* Meet inventory, regular freight, and Premium Freight goal KPIs.
* Monitoring compliance with the master production plan in the volume and mix.
* Ensure compliance with IOS, MMSA, MMOG, IATF16949 procedures to be successful in audits.
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly sales forecast.
* Analysis of raw material inventory and preparation of a control and reduction plan.
* Evaluation of Production and Materials programmers, prepare a development plan.
* Monitoring and control of Obsolescence, follow-up on Build Outs.
* Monitoring and supporting releases so that they are satisfactory.
* Analysis of customer demand and delivery plan negotiations.
* Monitoring of daily meetings
* Review and monitoring of the list of critics.
* Analysis and workload balance of Plans and Masters.
Requirements:
* Study area: Industrial Engineering or similar.
* work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
* 3-5 Minimum years of experience as a materials Supervisor.
* 3-5 Minimum years of experience as Materials Superintendent.
* 5-9 Minimum years of experience in the automotive industry.
* Must be able and willing to travel and work at client sites, including industrial manufacturing plants that may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems, Logistics (transport).
* APICS courses or certification.
* Knowledge of specific customer requirements.
