about the role
we are seeking a results-driven sourcing project manager to lead the execution of strategic procurement and productivity initiatives across our manufacturing footprint in mexico and the united states. This newly created role will serve as a key liaison between corporate and plant operations, driving cost savings, supplier optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable impact.
key responsibilities
* lead multiple procurement and sourcing projects focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
* implement sourcing strategies to achieve price productivity targets across the americas region.
* coordinate with cross-functional teams (commodities, engineering, operations, finance, quality, and field teams) to ensure successful project execution.
* support commodity teams in defining project charters, expected benefits, and resource requirements.
* monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and escalate issues as needed.
* manage project documentation including schedules, business cases, and risk assessments.
* deliver executive-level presentations for project approvals and monthly updates.
* identify performance gaps and support corrective actions to exceed targets.
* contribute to the annual operating plan for productivity initiatives.
* lead supplier rationalization efforts in alignment with sourcing strategies.
requirements
we are looking for proactive, collaborative, and execution-focused individuals. Minimum qualifications include:
* bachelor's degree completed.
* 8–10 years of managerial experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
* advanced english proficiency.
* strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
* demonstrated success in implementing cost-saving initiatives.
* proficiency in excel, powerpoint, and ms project.
nice to have (not required):
* experience with sap.
* familiarity with power bi.
* pmo certification or experience.
* experience working with u.s. and mexico-based manufacturing plants.
* availability to travel up to 10% (valid u.s. visa required).
