about the role
exalto consulting is working with a client on a large‑scale enterprise security and privileged access management programme and is looking to bring in an experienced cyber ark operations engineer. This is a hands‑on operational role focused on supporting and maintaining a complex cyber ark privileged access management environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of privileged access services across the organisation.
working within a matrix organisation, you’ll collaborate with infrastructure, security, and support teams to manage daily cyber ark operations, troubleshoot privileged access issues, and support ongoing operational improvements.
key responsibilities
* manage daily operations of the cyber ark environment
* administer privileged accounts, safes, users, and platforms
* support password vaulting and credential management processes
* monitor and support session management activities
* onboard servers, applications, and accounts into cyber ark
* troubleshoot access issues, password rotation failures, and vault‑related problems
* perform routine health checks, monitoring, and maintenance
* maintain security policies, privileged access controls, and compliance requirements
* document onboarding steps, operational procedures, and support activities
* work effectively in a matrix organisation with cross‑functional teams
* support incident, problem, change, and capacity management processes
what you’ll bring
* strong experience in cyber ark administration and operations
* strong understanding of privileged access management (pam) concepts
* experience with password vaulting, session management, and account onboarding
* familiarity with cyber ark safes, platforms, users, and access policies
* experience troubleshooting access issues and password management failures
* understanding of windows and linux environments
* experience working within itil‑based support environments and itsm tools
* strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation
