The role will focus on indirect sourcing categories and will be a member of a team responsible for the sourcing, contracting and supplier management of goods and services.
the strategic sourcing specialist will support the sourcing team in developing business unit requirements, performing market analysis, executing request for proposals (rfps) and resolving unfavorable contracts issues with supplier, business unit and sourcing managers. The specialist will update the indirect spend cube and supplier fact sheets quarterly and maintain the deal sheet repository.
primary responsibilities:
* supplier and marketplace research for sourcing opportunities.
* manage supplier qualification process for indirect suppliers.
* supporting sourcing team creating, publishing and reviewing rfps.
* reviewing contracts, identifying non-compliant terms and conditions, resolving unfavorable contract issues (ex: payment terms, termination clauses) with sourcing team, business unit and supplier.
* maintaining currency with the indirect spend cube, supplier fact sheets and deal sheets.
* supporting the sourcing team with relationships with key suppliers ensuring they meet quality and service requirements while maintaining competitive prices.
education and experience:
* level of formal education: bachelor’s degree (ba or bs) in business administration or related field required
* area of study: business administration or similar
* years of experience: three to five years’ experience
* type of experience: minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement (preferably one headquartered in the united states)
* special certifications: cpsm (certified professional supply chain manager) preferred
* language skills: english (professional level spoken and written english)
