purpose
the global people operations project specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating global people operations projects related to hr systems, payroll operations, process improvements, integrations, and operational initiatives across multiple regions and business groups.
the role acts as the key coordination point between people teams, payroll, it, shared services, and external vendors, ensuring alignment, governance, execution, and successful end to end project delivery in support of orbia’s global people operating model.
main responsibilities
- global project management & execution: lead end to end coordination and execution of integral people operations projects, ensuring alignment between scope, timelines, governance, deliverables, and operational objectives.
- people systems & operational initiatives: coordinate projects related to hr systems, payroll operations, process improvements, systems integrations, and operational initiatives across multiple regions and business groups.
- cross functional coordination: act as the primary coordination point between people teams, payroll, it, shared services, and external vendors to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and successful project delivery.
- vendor & external partner coordination: coordinate external consultants, implementation partners, and vendors involved in people operations projects, ensuring proper follow up, accountability, and delivery of agreed activities and timelines.
- governance, reporting & project tracking: manage project governance activities including project plans, timelines, milestone tracking, action logs, status reporting, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication.
testing, go live & stabilization support
coordinate testing activities, implementation readiness, cutover planning, go live execution, and post implementation stabilization activities to support operational continuity.
knowledge and experience required
- bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, information technology, engineering, or related field.
- english and spanish required
- preferred: master´s degree
- global or regional project management (5+ years)
- hr systems and operations projects (5+ years)
- payroll implementations and systems integrations (3+ years)
- vendor and external partner management (3+ years)
- project governance and status reporting (3+ years)
- testing, go live, and stabilization support (3+ years)
