Role purpose
ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of our company's facilities, equipment, and systems. This position requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in maintenance management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The senior maintenance engineer will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, developing preventive maintenance strategies, and leading a team of technicians to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
key responsibilities
* providing advanced technical knowledge and expertise in maintenance practices, engineering principles, and equipment performance to guide maintenance teams and solve complex issues.
* leading and coordinating major maintenance projects, including upgrades, installations, and overhauls, to ensure successful execution and minimal disruption to operations.
* mentoring and coaching junior maintenance engineers and technicians, transferring technical knowledge and fostering professional development within the maintenance team.
* utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes of equipment failures, malfunctions, or inefficiencies, and implementing effective solutions.
* using data-driven insights to monitor equipment performance, predict maintenance needs, and optimize maintenance schedules, enhancing equipment availability.
* collecting and analyzing maintenance data to generate advanced reports that provide insights into equipment performance, maintenance costs, and operational metrics.
* developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and unscheduled maintenance events.
* performing regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
* collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance efforts and timely response to maintenance requests.
experiences & education – required
* bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
* minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* proven track record of leading maintenance teams, developing preventive maintenance strategies, and managing maintenance projects.
experiences & education – desired
* knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (cmms) for tracking maintenance activities and generating reports.
* familiarity with safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* project management skills to effectively plan and execute maintenance projects within established timelines.
* ability to adapt to changing circumstances and a willingness to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
