we are looking for an outstanding self-motivated result-oriented professional to lead design and content developed to advance our communication strategy, maintaining consistency and excellence across all materials and channels.
1. manage the operational plan aligned with our mission, vision, and strategic goals to build reputation and maximize impact.
2. execute communications plans with the donor relations and fundraising services team as part of donors' cultivation plans.
3. coordinate with the communications team to manage activities related to cgiar communications where needed.
4. provide input into chapter strategy and operational plan.
5. keep up-to-date with the latest communication trends and technologies, ensuring effective tools and strategies.
6. manage workflows, including project scoping, prioritization, and scheduling, to ensure timely execution of all requirements.
* ensure consistent brand expression and powerful visuals through creative services.
* manage and develop high-quality content for various channels, including internal communications, executive communications, websites, social media, email, and publications.
* coordinate communication services from internal and external teams, including designers, writers, editors, and translation services, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
* assist in developing and regularly updating publishing guidelines for staff and consultants working with content development.
* coordinate with the external communications manager to implement digital communications strategies.
* coordinate with the internal communications manager to implement internal communications strategies to keep staff informed and engaged.
* coordinate with regional communications managers to execute communications plans to maximize resources and ensure consistent brand expression and powerful visuals through creative services in all regions.
* manage workflow and plans of the creative hub area, ensuring all output and deliverables are produced cost-efficiently and according to predetermined timelines.
* mentor and empower the creative hub team to pursue innovative approaches and set demanding metrics for engagement that deliver results.
* develop and monitor budgets to ensure resources are allocated effectively.
* conduct recruiting and onboarding processes to expand the team as needed.
* bachelor's or master's degree in communications, marketing, design, journalism, or a related field.
* 4-5 years of experience in communications, with a strong emphasis in internal communications, media relations management, campaign execution, social and digital communications, and a strong creative portfolio.
* strong knowledge of media outlets, journalists, content development, advocacy, media, writing, editing, and translation.
* leadership experience in managing creative teams or hubs.
* proficiency in digital content management systems, social media platforms, and microsoft office suite.
* experience in nonprofit or international development contexts is preferred.
* exceptional written and verbal english skills, with the ability to convey complex messages clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
