the position
we are seeking a marketing manager with a strategic focus to lead the transformation of the marketing function from a primarily promotional role to a core driver of commercial decision-making. Reporting directly to the ceo, this position will design, implement, and track integrated market strategies that boost brand positioning, profitability by market, product launches, and sustain growth in new territories. The role will build a commercial intelligence capability from the ground up to enable data-driven decisions and will lead an existing team as it evolves into a more analytical and strategic structure.
main responsibilities
strategy & planning
1. design the comprehensive marketing strategy, including pricing, segmentation, positioning, and regional offer development.
2. develop and execute the annual marketing plan aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
3. define and manage the marketing mix (4ps) according to the needs of each market.
market & product development
4. identify opportunities for new products and coordinate launches with a focus on profitability and positioning.
5. create strategies to increase market share in existing and new territories.
6. support territorial expansion initiatives and the potential integration/development of new brands.
commercial intelligence & analytics
7. build and lead a commercial intelligence function to gather market, trend, and competitive insights.
8. analyze end-user and customer behavior to design data-driven strategies.
9. measure and report on key kpis, including campaign roi, profitability by market, and market growth.
brand management & communications
10. design and implement long-term brand positioning and equity strategies.
11. oversee advertising and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
12. ensure brand communications are tailored to the specific characteristics of each region and customer segment.
collaboration & stakeholder management
13. work closely with general management and the commercial and administrative areas to align efforts.
maintain direct contact with customers, distributors, and strategic partners to understand their needs and ensure effectiveness at the point of sale.
represent the voice of the customer and the market within the organization.

14. transform the current marketing area from a promotional function into a high-impact strategic function.

professional experience
15. at least 7 years in strategic marketing, market intelligence, or commercial development roles.
proven record of accomplishment in the construction or building-materials industry, especially in b2b to retail environments (hardware stores, flooring retailers, materials distributors).
experience leading marketing teams and transforming advertising-focused areas into strategic, analytics-driven functions.
ideally has participated in territorial expansion processes or the development of new brands.
technical knowledge
16. mastery of the marketing mix (4ps): product, price, place, and promotion.
strong grasp of pricing strategy, market segmentation, and regional offer development.
experience defining and tracking key kpis (profitability by market, campaign roi, market share).
practical knowledge of commercial intelligence tools, crm, and data analytics to support decision-making.
