specialist*description*:- certified toolmaker or 6 years in the tool and die in automotive field.- 6 years hands on experience in tooling.- thorough understanding and working knowledge of s/r, tooling maintenance, stamping and assembly processes.- good verbal and written communication in english.- strong leadership skills.- must be willing to travel as needed through mexico to visit manufacture suppliers.- proficient with ms office software ms excel, ms word, ms powerpoint, outlook.- basic 2d/3d software experience for design reviews.- environmental health and safety, personal protective equipment.- promote the deployment of supplier excellence system tools at suppliers- ensure/organize and coordinate the related supplier development actions, based on inputs from assessments, supplier nomination committee, program or series escalation- carry out improvement/convergence plan with red list suppliers (as defined from red list or requested by commodity)- improve the qcd performance for the list of dedicated suppliers through supplier development activities- perform assessment according to faurecia standards and supports the commodity buyer to obtain efficient action plan.- train the suppliers to faurecia tools: qse/ 7 basics, pse and others- give recommendations for supplier selection in programs and series*tooling serial life duties*:- responsible to support sq&d during tooling relocalization at new stamping supplier facilities.- preventive maintenance audit to make sure is being performed properly to avoid low tooling life.- analysis of furbish by tool assessment and follow up.- assisting asq, tooling and sq&d teams about tooling issues for quality assurance.- feasibility of tooling ecr and lead time analysis of implementation.- strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (gd&t).- good skills and knowledge for part evaluation by checking fixture.- advise of hight risks in tooling integrity during stamping process in press.- tool room audits for capacity, capabilities, and skills score.- leading and coordinate core teams for home line support to meet ppap milestones.- ensure that tools meet or exceed fas die standard requirements and production needs.- lessons learned records of tooling issues with the objective of prevent the same in tool kick off phase.- investigate, resolve, and recommend solutions of problems relating to stamping process.- identify improvements on tool design and cost reduction.- prepare the tooling book of serial life tools.- ability to read, analyze, interpret, and understand engineering documents and blueprints such as 2d/3d- ability to use cad to review drawings.- excellent analytical skills.- excellent time management skills.- strong multitasking, organization, and planning skills.- ability to work with suppliers to achieve required results
