role description
this is a full-time, on-site role for a controller, located in baja california sur, mexico. The controller will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accuracy and transparency in all financial operations. Responsibilities include overseeing accounting processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, preparing financial statements, and identifying cost-saving strategies. The controller will also provide strategic financial guidance to leadership and manage a team within the accounting and finance department.
qualifications
* accounting and finance expertise, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* proficiency in financial and regulatory compliance, auditing, and data analysis
* team management and leadership experience within an accounting or finance department
* detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
* proficiency in financial software and tools
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (master's degree or cpa certification is a plus)
* strong written and verbal communication skills in english and spanish
* experience in tourism, hospitality, or a similar industry is advantageous but not required
