Overview

Machine Maintenance Director role at the LEGO Group. This position is part of Moulding operations and focuses on ensuring safety, adherence to quality and standards, and reliability to secure production-ready availability and avoid disruption in the manufacturing value chain.

Responsibilities

- Promotes and secures the physical and emotional integrity of employees by being an ambassador of the culture and safety toolkit established in The LEGO Group.
- Sets global framework together with the Machine Maintenance network to drive improvements, align standards and contribute to the overall global Moulding strategy.
- Deploys Global Operations strategic initiatives and connects drill-down activities to them; sets operational area metrics and follows up on deliverables and compliance. Sets short-, mid-, and long-term strategy for the maintenance area.
- Integrates and promotes Continuous Improvement mindset in the context of GMEP (Global Maintenance Efficiency Program) and TPM.
- Acts as a people leader responsible for maintaining and boosting a healthy, highly motivated staff, with impact reflected in PULSE. Executes HR core processes (Merit, PMP, IDP, PRP).
- Identifies competency needs of team members; provides continuous training, feedback, monitoring, evaluation and support to Managers, Engineers and Specialists in the area of responsibility.
- Ensures LEGO Production team meets reliability and product quality requirements by securing the best equipment performance.
- Sets a strategic path for short-, mid-, and long-term ambition within the area of responsibility and for the whole Moulding organization.
- Collaborates with the Moulding leadership team to drive excellent results for the whole Manufacturing areas.
- Is accountable for the Machine Maintenance financial statements and supports performance of the Moulding operational areas.
- Ensures compliance with quality and safety standards (Product safety, QA Handbook, IMS, OHSA 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001).

Qualifications

- Over 3 years in a leadership role (Sr. Manager, Director), with strong knowledge in operations areas such as production, engineering, maintenance, or similar.
- Proven deep knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehouse administration, and Inventory management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach, focus on staff wellness, proactive service attitude, and high ethics.
- Resilient and flexible to adapt in a continuously changing environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the plastic injection industry.
- Experience with a Global company and diverse environment.
- Understands agility vs perfection and can work under pressure.
- Analytical and fast at decision making.
- Ability to structure and cascade strategic vision and work with various organizational levels.
- Creative, innovative and able to execute plans, not only ideate.
- Creates a culture of openness and transparency and sets an example for the organization.
- Fluent in English.
- Location: This position is based at the LEGO NL manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores. This is not a remote position.
