about the role

to aspire to be a trusted business partner that anticipates trion operational needs and delivers seamless supply chain outcomes through exceptional people, processes, and systems. In accordance with business processes outlined in the woodside management system (wms), the inventory adviser is responsible for the operation of spares materials being ordered, tracked, stored and supplied as per the country strategy. The inventory adviser manages the life cycle of the company owned property and rentals for the project allowing them to carry out their planned and unplanned activities. The position requires liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure material requirements are met while ensuring safe, efficient and on‑time execution.


core responsibilities

* serve as local wil focal point for respective campaign (materials management) with customers to ensure requirements can be met within agreed kpi’s
* communicate logistics strategic plan to internal & external stakeholders
* coordinate material movements in accordance with project requirement timelines
* manage project inventory, executing enterprise transactions and consumption
* manage actual & potential issues impacting timely equipment delivery
* daily activities completed in line with project and company requirements
* adherence to relevant industry laws and regulations
* apply continuous improvement within the workplace
* carry out stock take of materials as per inventory operating standard
* execution of materials management processes, in accordance with wms expectations and standards
* call off and coordinate timely delivery of bulk product (liquids and dry bulks) as per published or agreed plans and schedules
* schedule and coordinate personnel movements with project logistics utilizing vpob or equivalent software, and where necessary communicating fixed wing requirements to the travel coordinator, if project required.
* coordinate personnel movements in alignment with operational resource plan
* completion of shipping documentation for all equipment is identified, recorded, and packed according to wel standards (includes contractor’s containers)
* comply with domestic and international shipping regulations


health, safety, and environmental

* establish & maintain high standards for cargo handling & transportation
* maintain familiarity with all relevant work site safety and emergency procedures
* participate in pre-job safety meetings and behavior-based safety programs
* serve as a member of the incident management team
* familiarity of lifting codes, standards and engineered lifts


risks

* identify, communicate, and propose mitigating controls to the team on equipment or product handling risks
* verify dangerous goods are correctly handled and transported as per wms standards and local regulations


costs

* control of costs through effective management of transportation resources
* identifying opportunities to minimize campaign rental costs through efficient


supply

* carry out stock take of materials as per inventory operating standard
* support materials teams in monitoring vendors held materials against future demand
* communicate with supply chain & marine to align project schedule


quality assurance

* ensure all logistics operations and material handling procedures are performed to relevant industry standards and any deviations are recorded and reported


development

* manage personal development, and maintains validity of all certificates
* coach & mentor others regarding safe & efficient logistics operations


skills & experience


experience

* 5+ years in o&g activities (offshore experience preferred)
* prior warehouse experience preferably at a supervisor level
* previous experience of digital logistics software (wels / kabal) or equivalent
* previous experience of digital personnel movement software (vpob) or equivalent


qualifications

* deep knowledge of materials management, operations and logistics
* highly effective project management, supervisory skills and techniques
* experience / knowledge of mexico regulations, permitting moving ra sources and explosives
* required licenses and certifications (dangerous goods, bosiet, first air, etc)

proficiency in english is preferred
