we are seeking a highly motivated power electronics control system engineer to develop and implement advanced electrification control solutions at both component and system levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in model-based design, power electronics simulation, and control system development for vehicle electrification applications.
key responsibilities
* develop electrification control solutions at component and system levels using a model-based design approach.
* design, analyze, and validate control algorithms through:
* analytical methods
* simulation
* hardware-in-the-loop (hil) testing
* laboratory testing
* field testing
* collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and refine control system requirements supporting vehicle electrification solutions.
* perform electric drive and vehicle-level simulations to support:
* control system development
* vehicle performance analysis and validation
required qualifications
* bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field.
* 1+ years of experience in power electronics or control algorithm development.
* proficiency in matlab, simulink, and simscape.
* experience simulating:
* power electronics systems
* electric machines
* control systems
* strong written and verbal communication skills in english.
* relevant academic research experience will be considered.
preferred qualifications (nice to have)
* hands-on laboratory or vehicle testing experience with power electronics or electric motors.
* experience with hardware-in-the-loop (hil) testing.
* experience with:
* auto-code generation
* embedded software implementation on microcontrollers and fpgas
* working knowledge of version control systems and agile software development methodologies.
* experience in advanced control techniques such as:
* state observers
* model predictive control (mpc)
* filter design
* experience with electric motor control and power electronics control.
* experience with power electronics hardware or software design.
* master's degree in electrical engineering, physics engineering, or mechanical engineering with a focus on power electronics and/or control systems.
