Responsibilities
manage and control material inventories to achieve inventory effectiveness targets.
Ensure inventory accuracy in sap through ongoing controls and reconciliation.
Support production schedule attainment and service performance by ensuring material availability and execution discipline.
Lead and execute continuous improvement projects, including kaizen and 5s activities within the department.
Maintain department metrics established by the plant director and provide weekly staff charts with key indicators.
Communicate effectively with the supply chain team to ensure alignment and execution.
Oversee supplier purchase orders for raw materials.
Oversee purchase orders for service parts and intercompany requirements.
Monitor and control excess and obsolete materials.
Manage company resources (people, equipment, tools) effectively to meet business needs.
Improve material flow and material management processes across the operation.
Participate in the preparation and execution of the annual physical inventory.
Define and lead the department’s optimal supply chain strategy and contribute to supply chain planning decisions.
Lead talent management activities, including training and development within the department.
Direct transportation and logistics activities in support of business requirements.
Follow environmental and safety requirements, including waste segregation and compliance with operational controls.
Participate in iso 14001 & iso 45001 awareness training and follow established procedures.
Qualifications
bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Experience leading materials and supply chain personnel.
Proficiency with materials control systems and supply chain tools (microsoft office, mrp, and manufacturing reporting tools such as business objects preferred).
Advanced english skills and strong competencies in communication, leadership, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and team development.
