As part of this mission, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented hr assistant to support our human resources team. This role is designed for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to both the operational and project management aspects of hr in a fast-paced educational setting.

purpose of the role
the hr assistant provides essential administrative and operational support for hr processes while also assisting in the coordination and monitoring of projects. This position is ideal for a candidate who is detail-obsessed, highly organized, and eager to build strong skills in human resources and project management.
key responsibilitieshuman resources support
* assist with recruitment tasks: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and preparing documentation.
* support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring proper documentation, orientation, and follow-up.
* maintain accurate and organized personnel files and hr records in compliance with internal policies.
* provide administrative support in payroll and benefits coordination.
* draft, review, and edit hr documents, contracts, and reports with accuracy.
project & administrative support
* monitor progress of hr initiatives and projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
* prepare simple reports highlighting progress, risks, and pending tasks for the hr manager.
* help maintain dashboards and tracking systems for ongoing initiatives.
* facilitate communication and follow-up with team members to ensure clarity on priorities.
* assist in documenting standard operating procedures (sops) and administrative processes.
culture and employee engagement
* serve as a first point of contact for basic staff inquiries, escalating complex issues to the hr manager.
* contribute to employee engagement through communication, surveys, and support in internal events.
* promote a positive workplace culture aligned with community preschools' mission and values.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in human resources, administration, or related field (preferred, not required).
* 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or entry-level hr/administrative roles).
* english proficiency: minimum intermediate level required; advanced level preferred.
* strong written and verbal communication skills.
* proficiency in organizational and time management.
* familiarity with project management tools (e.g., monday, trello, asana) is a plus.
* basic knowledge of hr processes is an advantage.
