the production planner ii is responsible for the planning and scheduling of assigned product lines to achieve excellent customer service, optimal inventory levels and transactional accuracy. Utilizing intermediate level skills in mps/mrp/sap and plm, they will maintain relevant planning parameters and ensure of the planning process integrity. Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem solving skills are essential to guide the manufacturing team and coordinate with purchasing, engineering, quality and other functions as necessary. Key task & responsibilities: -support the development and deployment of 12-24 months production schedules that satisfy customer demand, optimize capacity, inventory and operational efficiency; -release and monitor production orders on a daily basis to meet mps and wip targets, ensuring full complaince with the quality system and supply chain policies and procedures; -monitor engineering change orders (eco) for assigned products; ensure timely and accurate execution of those in the planning process, paying special attention to erp bom, travelers, serial/lot number assignment and shelf-life updates; support all efforts to ensure the highest product quality and precise traceability of parts in the planning processes and supply chain. Generate, analyze and provide accurate traceability reports;
- calculate appropriate wip, lead-time and safety/target stock levels, and ensure that those are reviewed and updated in the erp system regularly;
- prioritize production and coordinate resolution to schedule achievement, inventory and quality issues through close collaboration with manufacturing managers, engineering, purchasing and quality;
- provide timely feedback to customer service, sales or to other inquiries regarding availability of product; -compile reports for analysis of production performance, inventory and other kpis to assist management with weekly and monthly reporting; -as required, perform special projects that are consistent with these job responsibilities; -perform job functions in compliance with fda/t
experiência y requisitos
- bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or relevant field - at least 3 years of experience in production planning and control, with demonstrated success in managing complex planning processes. - excellent mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills - build and maintain strong relationships with people across different functions and levels. - ability to persuasively present thoughts and influence others. - knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles and concepts; ability to read and interpret product specifications and boms;
- english (proficient). - strong knowlegde of erp systems and excel desirable: - experience in the medical device industry (class ii or iii) - apics cpim, lean/six sigma certifications. - sap
