in this role you will be responsible for category management of complex and highly technical categories reporting to the vp strategic sourcing - mri.
you will develop plan and implement sourcing strategies focused on optimizing costs quality delivery and reliability of suppliers to ensure an exceptional supply base is developed and maintained to provide a competitive advantage for ge healthcare.
the work model for the role is on-site at our monterrey manufacturing facility with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
your role and responsibilities:
* implement effective sourcing strategies in line with local and global business and category strategies.
* ensure suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
* supplier selection and performance: tco savings payment terms otd quality lead time budget target settings and follow up for continuous improvement.
* provide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.
* design and implement cost-out programs and/or processes to reach annual savings and operational cost reduction targets.
qualifications for the role:
* education in supply chain management engineering operations or similar.
* 5 years of work experience in sourcing.
* proficient english level.
* proficiency with software applications such as ms-office (e.g. Excel word powerpoint etc.). Experience with sap and ariba sss preferred.
* knowledge about electrical components and their manufacturing processes preferred.
* strong data analytics with continuous improvement mindset.
* demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural global business environment.
* a collaborative solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
