This role also offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with international offices, bringing a local perspective to our global labor relations strategy and contributing to our success as a worldwide company.Job DetailsDescriptionThe Labor Relations Manager will be the primary point of contact for all local labor relations matters in our Mexico City office.
This individual will work closely with the local HR team to ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws and to build a strong workplace culture.
This role also offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with international offices, bringing a local perspective to our global labor relations strategy and contributing to our success as a worldwide company.ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain labor relations programs, policies, and procedures for our operations in Mexico CityOversee the signing of contracts for all new hires and ensure all employee files are maintained accurately and in compliance with local regulationsEnsure positive labor-management relations and interpret labor agreementsLead all aspects of grievance procedures, including arbitrationsBe the first point of contact to the HR Business Partners and all levels of management on complex employment matters, such as terminations, corrective actions and othersLead internal investigations in partnership with Leadership and Human ResourcesRespond to internal employee concerns and proactively identify and address labor relations risks and trendsPartner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement action plans based on investigation trends and employee engagement insightsCollaborate with the HR team to identify opportunities to elevate the employee relations function and improve the overall employee experienceQualifications/Requirements Of The PositionBachelor's degree in law or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of 5 years of work experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on a corporate setting in MexicoDemonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environmentStrong analytical skills with experience in data reporting and problem-solvingProven ability to work with integrity, good judgment, and to maintain strict confidentialityExperience with employee relations is preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office programsFluency in both Spanish and EnglishWelcome to arrivia.
