we are seeking a pricing analyst ii to support our division's goals by developing competitive and profitable ftl pricing for cross-border opportunities between mexico, the united states, and canada. This role will evaluate new leads, analyze market conditions, and prepare tailored quotes aligned with customer requirements.
key responsibilities
1. develop spot and contractual pricing for new cross-border ftl opportunities based on customer requirements, historical benchmarks, and current market dynamics.
2. analyze origin-destination (od) pairs and identify key cost drivers such as mileage, border crossing fees, dwell time, and regional rate trends.
3. collaborate with sales and operations to validate service feasibility and ensure pricing proposals meet both customer expectations and operational capabilities.
4. maintain pricing models and rate templates, ensuring accuracy and consistency across submitted quotes.
5. support mini-bids and rfp responses, including gathering lane data, preparing pricing files, and supporting follow-up questions or customer clarifications.
6. track quote success rate and monitor awarded vs. non-awarded lanes to drive continuous improvement and refine pricing strategies.
required qualifications
1. bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or a related field.
2. 1–3 years of experience in transportation pricing, supply chain, or logistics analysis, preferably with a focus on ftl or cross-border freight.
3. strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
4. proficiency in excel and data analysis tools.
5. understanding of key cost components in cross-border shipping (e.g., border procedures, customs, linehaul, drayage).
6. ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
7. excellent communication and collaboration skills.
