Overview
the service coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all service activities related to refrigeration systems, hvac equipment, and plc-controlled infrastructure within data centers. This role ensures timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, optimal resource allocation, and seamless communication between customers, field technicians, vendors, and internal teams. This position supports mission-critical data center environments where uptime and reliability are essential. The service coordinator must be able to respond to urgent situations and work with cross-functional teams to ensure operational continuity.
responsibilities
* coordinate and schedule service activities for refrigeration, hvac, and plc systems in data center environments.
* maintain daily communication with field service technicians to plan workloads, dispatch work orders, and provide technical and administrative support.
* start-up, configure, and commission dct cooling equipment including its instrumentation, control and bms communication systems when required.
* oversee clients cooling systems installations.
* track service requests from initiation to closure, ensuring resolution meets contractual slas and operational requirements.
* manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with manufacturer and customer specifications.
* monitor spare parts availability, coordinate procurement, and follow up with vendors as needed.
* maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation for audits and continuous improvement.
* support emergency service calls and coordinate rapid response efforts.
* provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams.
* communicate with customers to provide updates, confirm schedules, and ensure satisfaction with service delivery.
* collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to support contract execution and technical queries.
* assist with service quotes, proposals, and administrative documentation when required.

required education and qualifications
* bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechanical or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in field service or technical support roles, preferably instrumentation and bms environments.
* prior experience coordinating field service operations or technical maintenance teams.
* excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
* proficiency in using service management software, cmms, or erp systems.
* ability to work under pressure and support critical infrastructure operations.
* strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, controllers).
* experience with hvac-r systems and energy management solutions.
* proficiency in bms protocols (e.g., bacnet, modbus).
* familiarity with plcs, pids and control networks.
* ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
