sustainability manager - asp
ensure locations comply with motherson sustainability ambitions by providing guidance on strategies to establish, maintain, and improve sustainability performance according to pkc ehs & energy management system, iso 14064, and iso 50001.
responsibilities
* ensure compliance with pkc ehs policy and pkc energy management policy.
* develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of energy performance (electricity, fossil fuels, water) in pkc mexico-usa plants, aligned with iso 50001 requirements.
* coordinate multidisciplinary teams for project design, planning, and execution.
* hold meetings with tactical energy committees to ensure actions for energy risk reduction and opportunity implementation are being executed, and report status to plant managers.
* ensure energy use analysis, consumption reviews, and data collection follow established plans and sgemass guidelines.
* monitor and analyze energy performance indicators and report progress, identifying patterns and opportunities for savings.
* evaluate legal compliance related to energy management.
* lead internal energy audits, participate in external audits, and recommend energy-saving solutions.
* support management review meetings and address non-conformities from audits.
* assist in developing projects for energy efficiency, water sustainability, and ghg reduction.
* participate in the strategic energy management committee.
* ensure accurate data for the motherson sustainability report.
* maintain updated climate transition plans and lead emission reduction initiatives (scope 1, 2, and 3).
* provide training on environmental sustainability topics.
* support renewable energy strategy development and implementation.
* manage relationships with third-party energy consultants, coordinate energy contracts, data, and rebates.
* collaborate with stakeholders and external partners to advance sustainability across operations and supply chain; act as an internal sustainability consultant.
* perform other assigned duties.
* comply with pkc group's environment, health, safety, and energy policies.
* adhere to applicable environmental, health, safety, and energy regulations and contribute to emass system effectiveness.
required profile
education or experience
* bachelor’s degree in sustainability engineering, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field, or 5 years of similar experience.
* master’s degree preferred.
* at least 5 years’ experience in sustainability projects, energy management, water preservation, fossil fuels, and energy audits.
* certified lead auditor on iso 50001 preferred.
* experience with energy management and building systems (bms) preferred.
* knowledge of local, state, and federal sustainability regulations preferred.
