this position will require effective communication and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including carriers, custom brokers, government authorities, and customers.
*what you will do*
- coordinate daily import and export shipments with third-party logistics providers and parcel carriers (air, ocean, land).
- clear and timely communication with carriers and custom brokers.
- provide status updates of shipments in transit to internal users and ensure information is updated as requested.
- generate clear and timely information for customer service, purchasing, and planning teams.
- coordinate with carriers for export collections as per established guidelines.
- ensure compliance with cutoff schedules, including unit loading, warehouse departure, airport arrival, customs clearance, and airline delivery.
- generate and review export documents such as proformas, packing lists, and entry forms.
- create instructions for customs clearance agents and review customs clearance reports.
- coordinate domestic/local shipments as per plant requirements, including tracking urgent shipments and timely escalation of issues.
- work in alignment with koch business solutions (kbs) and adhere to their global strategies.
*who you are (basic qualifications)*
- bachelor's degree with context around logistics, planification, shipments.
- ctpat/oea certified.
- good experience using sap
- proficiency in english (oral and written)
- good experience in a similar position, preferably in an electronic manufacturing company.
- experience managing global logistics, import, and export activities.
- comprehensive experience in managing carriers and freight forwarders.
