responsibilities
* manage and control material inventories to achieve inventory effectiveness targets.
* ensure inventory accuracy in sap through ongoing controls and reconciliation.
* support production schedule attainment and service performance by ensuring material availability and execution discipline.
* lead and execute continuous improvement projects, including kaizen and 5s activities within the department.
* maintain department metrics established by the plant director and provide weekly staff charts with key indicators.
* communicate effectively with the supply chain team to ensure alignment and execution.
* oversee supplier purchase orders for raw materials.
* oversee purchase orders for service parts and intercompany requirements.
* monitor and control excess and obsolete materials.
* manage company resources (people, equipment, tools) effectively to meet business needs.
* improve material flow and material management processes across the operation.
* participate in the preparation and execution of the annual physical inventory.
* define and lead the department's optimal supply chain strategy and contribute to supply chain planning decisions.
* lead talent management activities, including training and development within the department.
* direct transportation and logistics activities in support of business requirements.
* follow environmental and safety requirements, including waste segregation and compliance with operational controls.
* participate in iso 14001 & iso 45001 awareness training and follow established procedures.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
* 5+ years of experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
* experience leading materials and supply chain personnel.
* proficiency with materials control systems and supply chain tools (microsoft office, mrp, and manufacturing reporting tools such as business objects preferred).
* advanced english skills and strong competencies in communication, leadership, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and team development.
