Job descriptionposition: ditch maintenance / repairdepartment: raw waterreports to: water masterstatus: temporarygeneral descriptionunder general supervision, works as a member of a crew to efficiently perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on the water system and other facilities; performs other related work as required.essential functions- performs maintenance on ditches, pipelines, flumes, siphons, weirs, easements, and meters, and conducts repairs as needed.
- removes debris, objects, and obstructions from open ditches.
- clears brush and fells trees.
- operates hand and power tools and equipment.
- assists with operation of gunite machine; handles and maneuvers conveyor hose.qualification requirementsto perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
