what you will do
1. conduct accessibility audits and report violations.
2. use automated tools to detect common issues and perform manual testing for deeper insights.
3. test keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and dynamic content updates.
4. collaborate with developers and designers to ensure accessibility from the design phase.
5. document issues, log them in bug tracking software, and create compliance reports.
must haves
1. 3+ years of experience in manual qa/testing with a focus on accessibility.
2. strong knowledge of wcag, aria, and section 508 standards.
3. hands-on experience with automated tools (axe, lighthouse, wave, pa11y).
4. proficiency in manual testing using nvda, jaws, voiceover, chromevox.
5. familiarity with mobile accessibility testing (ios/android).
6. experience with bug tracking tools (jira, asana).
nice to haves
1. iaap certifications (cpacc, was) are a plus.
2. strong documentation and communication skills.
