Location: altamira tamaulipas, tam, mx, *- req id: *- facility: altamira-206- department: altamira operations- division: global aps*position summary*:
plan, implement and supervise the optimal development and execution of all the strategies, activities and processes of the operations department, as well as manage the necessary resources for the correct and reliable functioning of the equipment and infrastructure, in order to produce materials in an safe, effective, efficient and profitable manner, in compliance with all government and corporate regulations and according to the specific requirements of the product.
*responsibilities and accountabilities*:
*general*
- monitor, manage and control all processes of the operations department to ensure compliance with hse requirements, operational excellence requirements, process and operations requirements, legal requirements, corporate requirements, product requirements, and customer requirements.
- manage production planning, validating and adjusting the sequence as necessary, in order to increase plant occupancy.
- plan, develop and maintain the zero-based budget of the operations department for the efficient and effective production of materials.
- coordinate a controlled inventory of all raw material and finished product in possession of the operations department to achieve and maintain accuracy levels required by the company.
- achieve, maintain, and improve the levels of reliability of the operation required by the company to ensure and increase the profitability of the production process, and maintain alarp the cost of production per ton.
- observe and analyze the performance of operations department personnel to ensure compliance with objectives and goals.
- propose, plan, manage and implement initiatives to reduce risks and environmental impacts, increase profitability, reduce costs, improve the operation.
the production process, and the quality of the product.
- identify and manage staff training needs to comply with the training program and increase staff skills.
- analyze data to inform operational decisions or activities.
- develop strategies in order to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- give appropriate follow-up to the implementation of action plans to ensure the elimination of root causes or ensure continuous improvement in the operations department.
- assure and increase people accountability and sense of belonging for their own responsibilities within the operations department and the plant.

- basic knowledge of osh regulations.
- preparation of budgets.

- engineering level (chemical, mechanical, industrial, processes, etc.)
*work experience*
- 3 to 5 years as a manager or head of production or operations in the manufacturing industry (preferably in the automotive branch), or 5 to 10 years as a production supervisor in the manufacturing industry (preferably in the automotive branch).
- 5 to 10 years in management of unionized personnel.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in extrusion process.
