the fp&a analyst is responsible for providing performance measurements, planning, and financial analysis support for the americas region, supporting the fp&a americas director and the commercial and operations teams.

responsibilities
* analyzing monthly p&l results and providing meaningful business insights to leadership.
* analyzing contribution margin and tracking key performance across market segments, technologies, customers, and products.
* contributing to regular monthly and quarterly financial forecasts and leading the consolidation of this data.
* contributing to the annual budget process and long-term strategic plans.
* assessing capital investment opportunities using discounted cash flow analysis.
* influencing decision-making with data-backed analysis to improve financial performance of the business, especially focused on volume growth, pricing, appropriate cost control, and working capital.
* working with the controllers on various financial concerns at the manufacturing sites, including proper setting of standard cost, allocations, etc.
* performing various ad-hoc analysis as needed to support the team, including the product line managers, sales team, marketing, supply chain, and other functions.
* contributing to/leading various projects as needed.
required skills and experience
* 5-10 years of progressive experience in a financial business environment, including business analysis, financial analysis, and cost accounting.
* finance experience in a manufacturing or consulting setting is especially valuable.
* highly skilled in excel for financial modeling and analysis. Experience with sap and bi tools preferred. Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., powerbi) is a plus.
* strong financial knowledge and analytical skills to assess capital investment opportunities using discounted cash flow analysis and to analyze monthly p&l results.
* pro-active, curious, and focused on solving problems, with a strong ability to perform various ad-hoc analyses.
* strong verbal and written communication skills in english, with the ability to effectively collaborate with controllers, product line managers, sales team, marketing, supply chain, and other functions.
qualifications
* bs degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other relevant field.
* advanced degrees are a plus.
