your role at clorox:
as a senior accountant within the corporate accounting group supporting us activities, you will play a key role in supporting cross-functional partners performing monthly and quarterly close responsibilities in accordance with u.s. Gaap.
in this role, you will:
- provide oversight, coaching and supervision to 3 direct reports.
- perform monthly and quarterly accounting close activities.
- ensure a proper control documentation based on the risk controls matrix applicable to the team.
- review balance sheet account reconciliations.
- support process improvement opportunities that improve the overall efficiency within your area.
- support special project work as required.
what we look for:
- 4+ years of experience in an accounting and finance organization, mix of public accounting and private industry preferred.
- understanding of u.s. Gaap and financial statements.
- good verbal and written english skills.
- attention to detail resulting in consistently reliable, accurate and thorough work.
- effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- work effectively in a team environment.
- experience managing people preferred.
- sap, hfm and blackline experience preferred.
