Position overview
we are seeking an inventory planning lead to coordinate inventory management and supply chain efficiency across the latam region. This pivotal role combines inventory management and supply chain analytics to ensure optimal stock levels, reduce costs, and support business growth.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and a results‑driven mindset to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
The inventory planning lead will report directly to the medtech strategy and ibp leader for latam.
Key responsibilities
act as facilitator for the regional inventory projection as well as excess, slow moving and obsolete consolidation.
Generate statistical safety, pipeline, and cycle stock using statistical concepts and best practices for medtech products.
Manage dashboards and tools for the inventory management area.
Generate analytical insights and tools for inventory optimization across the region.
Conduct monthly inventory and e&o reviews, and facilitate target‑setting processes across the organization.
Orchestrate rebalancing processes to optimize overall inventory for the region by levelling stocks between countries.
Maintain integrity of current and future reports, dashboards, and tools.
Determine and / or drive the most effective regional or global sourcing rules.
Map and document inventory management process flows for latam.
Work cross‑functionally on the development, launch, and support of new local and regional processes and tools.
Qualifications
bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, engineering or stem.
Apics certification is preferred.
Advanced degree is a plus.
5 years combined functional experience in purchasing, inventory management, manufacturing, planning, or warehousing.
Experience and / or interest in the medical devices industry is preferred.
Interpersonal skills and ability to work with multifunctional teams.
Broad understanding of business and supply chain requirements with adaptability to industry‑specific demands.
Excellent follow‑through and problem‑solving skills with ability to multi‑task.
Strong analytical and computer skills (pc and erp systems), sap and microsoft office (powerpoint).
Other
advanced spanish strongly recommended.
Advanced english strongly recommended.
