junior graphic artist
*position summary*:
junior graphic artist must have a passion for artwork and appreciate its ability to be used as a tool. This position will support and design artwork to be approved in line with the clients mission. The junior graphic artist will solve design problems with unique, creative graphics and work in-line with the art director. The junior graphic artist must possess a willingness to grow and learn creatively.
*responsibilities*
- utilizing photoshop & illustrator to execute graphic ideas
- a strong understanding for typography incorporated with graphics
- be part of the ideation process for apparel clients
- take criticism when developing skills
- revise existing art files for orders, meeting follow ups, and licensor meetings
- be able to think about cost and have an overall knowledge of printing
- have a fresh approach and be aware of current trends
- weekly downloads of style guides from licensors
- maintain and organize style guide server
- setup style guide assets as is onto tees.
- clip out backgrounds of style guide assets.
- create line sheets for presentations and catalogs
- understanding the rules & regulations of mad engine licenses
- organize weekly packets of all art developed by the department for upper management to review.
- ability to translate market trends and pop culture into mad engine licenses.
- creating thumbnails for design concepts
- other duties assigned as needed.

*qualifications*
- graphic design degree/diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years in-house/agency design experience or recent graphic design graduate.
- strong knowledge of current adobe creative suite and web software with an artistic/design background.
- strong written and verbal communication
- strong desire to learn and problem solve.
- ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines and work well within a team environment.
