maintain a safe work environment, ensuring all team members and dsps are properly trained and their needs addressed.
drive change rapidly, implementing innovation to keep the organization competitive.
route shipments within the amazon logistics coverage area.
support and assign duties to process assistants and monitor the sorting operation and driver dispatch.
analyze operational forecasts to determine productivity requirements and manage teams to meet building goals.
implement safety programs to protect all associates and dsps.
identify and lead process improvement initiatives, utilizing lean tools.
typical day
the typical day involves managing shift patterns, driving safety and quality culture, overseeing process improvements, and handling contingency tasks.
the manager also serves as a mentor to new managers and role model for best practices.
qualifications
completed bachelor's degree.
english fluency (c1+).
minimum 5 years of general experience with at least 3 years in a people manager role.
ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime during peak periods.
experience managing a hybrid workforce of employees and external contractors.
strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
additional desired qualifications
solid experience using lean manufacturing concepts and processes.
3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean technique experience.
mba or related advanced education.
previous experience in last‐mile delivery companies.
experience with amazon flex or similar delivery contractor networks.
