job description:
the mobile crisis team provides staff for all shifts to deliver crisis intervention services to adults in louisville metro. Responsibilities include assessing situations, engaging clients, de-escalating crises, developing crisis plans utilizing community resources, facilitating follow-up interventions, coordinating care and referrals, collaborating with community partners, maintaining documentation, and participating in team meetings. The approach is person-centered and trauma-informed.
essential job functions:
1. provide mobile crisis intervention to adults in louisville metro.
2. assess the situation, engage and develop rapport, and de-escalate.
3. determine the immediate needs and develop a crisis plan using individual strengths and community resources.
4. facilitate follow-up interventions and coordinate care.
5. work collaboratively with law enforcement, families, community agencies, and other stakeholders.
6. communicate effectively while respecting client dignity and privacy.
7. complete accurate and timely documentation of interventions.
8. respond to emergency coverage needs as assigned.
9. promote a culture of openness, collaboration, and quality crisis assistance.
10. attend staff and team meetings.
11. use person-centered and trauma-informed approaches in all interactions.
qualifications:
* high school diploma or ged required; bachelor's or master's degree preferred.
* minimum of one year experience in human services with a master's degree, or two years with a bachelor's degree, or five years without a degree.
* strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* knowledge of community resources.
* ability to make sound decisions under stress.
* supervisory skills and team collaboration ability.
physical demands:
* lifting up to 20 pounds, frequent walking or standing.
* exposure to potential threats and biological hazards.
* may require 24-hour on-call and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
* valid driver’s license required.
