*duties & responsibilities*
- collaborate with stakeholders to understand the hiring needs and create accurate job descriptions.
- design, develop, and maintain the full life cycle recruitment strategy and onboarding process in consultation with the global talent acquisition leader using established wireco resources and tools.
- partner with internal legal counsel on employment-related issues, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and stakeholders.
- create, organize, and deliver onboarding, orientation, and skills training for associates, leveraging available wireco resources.
use diverse formats to engage associates in an interactive learning environment.
- promote and implement processes to evaluate associates' performance using tools such as culture amp.
design and implement mentoring and coaching programs to support associates' professional growth.
- build and implement a leadership program for future leaders.
- provide coaching and counseling to management on hr matters through reports, indicators, and feedback to align talent with business needs.
- maintain comprehensive records of training activities, attendance, assessment results, and retraining requirements.
- recommend long-term steps to keep hr operations running smoothly and make sure we're using our development tools effectively to support career growth and mobility across roles and locations.
- stay informed about the latest trends in recruitment, training and development.
- conduct talent review and succession planning in consultation with the hr country leader, local leaders, and the hrbp, global steel operations leader.
- monitor talent management budget to ensure proper expense control in partnership with the hr country director.

- lead team to drive the day-to-day execution of hr talent acquisition and training and development initiatives
- keep the hr team apprised of departmental and organizational objectives and updates through regular 1-on-1s and staff meetings
*qualifications* required qualifications*
- bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field required
- proven experience in training and development, with at least 6 years of hr experience focused on organizational training and development
- excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire audience members.
- experienced in evaluating and researching training options and alternatives
- skilled in designing and implementing effective training and development
- proficient with microsoft office suite and related program software
