as we expand our global commercial network, we are looking for an experienced business development manager based in mexico to lead channel development, distributor partnerships, and market entry activities for mexico and selected latam markets.
2.location:mexico city preferred. Other major cities in mexico may be considered.
remote-based role with frequent business travel.

4.key responsibilities
1)develop and execute the market entry and business development strategy for mexico and selected latam markets.
2)identify, evaluate, and develop qualified distributors, channel partners, laboratories, and strategic accounts in the ivd and molecular diagnostics sector.
3)build relationships with hospitals, reference laboratories, private lab chains, public health institutions, kols, and procurement stakeholders.
4)support local regulatory and market access activities, including distributor registration capability assessment and cofepris-related coordination.
5)develop competitive intelligence on roche, abbott, qiagen, cepheid, hologic, thermo fisher, biomérieux, and other relevant diagnostic companies.
6)drive pilot projects, product evaluations, early adopter accounts, and reference customer development.
7)manage distributor performance, sales funnel, forecast, pricing discussions, and commercial opportunity tracking.
8)represent the company at local conferences, customer meetings, distributor negotiations, and industry events.
9)provide regular market insights, customer feedback, competitor updates, and business reports to headquarters.
5.requirements
1)5–10 years of experience in ivd, molecular diagnostics, pcr, infectious disease testing, oncology diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics, or related medical device sectors.
2)proven experience in business development, channel development, distributor management, or regional sales management in mexico.
3)strong understanding of the mexican healthcare, laboratory, hospital, and diagnostic distribution landscape.
4)familiarity with cofepris registration process and local distributor registration models is highly preferred.
5)existing network among ivd distributors, laboratories, hospitals, or diagnostic kols in mexico.
6)fluent spanish and strong professional english communication skills.
7)ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, cross-cultural, and fast-moving environment.
8)willingness to travel frequently within mexico and, when needed, selected latam markets.
6.preferred qualifications
1)experience with molecular diagnostics, pcr, hpv, sti, respiratory pathogen testing, tb, oncology molecular testing, or women's health diagnostics.
2)previous experience with multinational diagnostic companies or high-growth asian/chinese ivd companies.
3)proven track record of launching new diagnostic products or building a market from scratch.
4)experience working with reference laboratories, public health programs, or private lab chains.
