we are looking for a networking engineer to join our it team and play a critical role in managing and maintaining our network infrastructure. This role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cisco switches, fortinet firewalls, sonicwall firewalls, and ubiquiti access points & controllers.
*key responsibilities*
*network infrastructure management*
- configure, deploy, and manage cisco switches (vlans, stp, etherchannel, qos).
- maintain and troubleshoot fortinet and sonicwall firewalls, including vpns, nat, security policies, ids/ips, and content filtering.
- deploy, configure, and manage ubiquiti access points and controllers (unifi), including wireless optimization and seamless roaming.
- ensure high availability and redundancy across all network infrastructure components.
- monitor network capacity, utilization, and performance to proactively address potential bottlenecks.
*security & compliance*
- implement network segmentation, firewall rules, access control policies, and encryption protocols.
- monitor security logs and alerts for threat detection and timely incident response.
- ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
*troubleshooting & technical support*
- diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across lan, wan, and wi-fi environments.
- provide technical support to it teams and call center operations for network-related incidents.
- collaborate with vendors and service providers for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- maintain an established work schedule and provide on-call support during nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
*monitoring, reporting & optimization*
- utilize network monitoring tools such as prtg and ping plotter for real-time performance tracking and alerting.
- generate regular network health and performance reports to support data-driven decisions.
- conduct root cause analysis for recurring network issues and recommend long-term improvements.
*call center-specific responsibilities*
- optimize network infrastructure to ensure high-availability operations for call center environments.
- collaborate with telephony engineers to ensure seamless integration between network infrastructure and voip systems.
- troubleshoot issues affecting call quality, such as latency, jitter, and packet loss.
*required hard skills & knowledge*:
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure support.
- professional level knowledge of cisco routing and switching technologies - routing protocols (eigrp, ospf, bgp) and layer 2/3 routing. Current and expired certifications at or above ccnp r&s level will be considered.
- hands-on experience with fortinet firewalls (fortigate) and sonicwall firewalls (nsa, tz series).
- experience configuring and managing ubiquiti unifi access points & controllers.
- professional level knowledge in vpn configurations (ipsec, ssl vpns) and wan optimization.
- knowledge of voip networking and traffic shaping for call centers.
- familiarity with 802.1x authentication, nac solutions, and radius integration.
- experience with network monitoring, logging, and reporting tools.
- understanding of cybersecurity best practices, ids/ips, and siem tools.
