reporting directly to the plant manager and based at marelli toluca, this position is part of the scm + gt team. The role ensures timely and efficient planning, procurement, and distribution of materials required for production and operational needs.
your responsibilities
* develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules and forecasts.
* monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize excess stock.
* coordinate procurement activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee timely material delivery.
* analyze supply chain data to identify risks, shortages, and opportunities for cost optimization.
* resolve discrepancies and issues related to materials, deliveries, and inventory records.
* collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support efficient material flow.
* utilize erp/mrp systems for tracking, planning, and reporting material status.
* prepare regular reports on inventory, material availability, and planning performance.
* support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain and material management.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
* proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
* proficiency with erp/mrp systems (e.g., sap, oracle, or similar).
