are you looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities? Our own lives is hiring a day habilitation program manager to do exactly that this position will work full‑time with benefits that include medical, dental, vision and aflac (for purchase); paid life insurance, employee assistance program; 401(k) participation; cal (pto—roughly 140 hrs./yr); 16 paid holidays. Pay is $22.00 to $23.00 per hour. We will be accepting applications through oct. 22nd, 2025.

our own lives is a disability services organization that began providing direct services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in southwest colorado in july of 2024. Previously the direct services arm of community connections, we have decades of experience providing person‑centered, inclusion‑focused supports to the disabled community on its own terms. job description:


will support and embody the mission of our own lives to ensure that people in services can live self‑directed, fulfilling lives. Will assist in the development, guidance, and provision of services and supports to achieve integration and participation of people with developmental disabilities into community life. This position is responsible for supervising direct support professionals and ensuring both compliance with state and federal regulations and shaping day habilitation and day programs to be person‑centered. Will also engage in community education and awareness of company mission. The position will oversee day habilitation, day program, and supported living services in durango, co, and strengthen the delivery of supports to disabled adults.


responsibilities:

* participate in the hiring, supervision, and support for all staff in the day habilitation and sls services programs. Keep proper documentation of all staff as needed.
* compile, review and deliver all timesheets to accounting by financial department deadlines.
* regularly meet with and supervise day program staff (dsps) and assist staff in training when needed. Respond to questions from staff and people in services in a timely manner.
* assist in developing and adhering to the annual budget for the respective programs. Oversee fiscal administration by authorizing and monitoring the financial decisions of the team.
* participate in isps (individual service and support plans) and 6‑month reviews for people in services.
* coordinate the delivery of services and supports as determined through the service plan (sp) process and in compliance with hcpf standards while ensuring that people in services have autonomy over what their supports look like.
* maintain the interior and exterior of the day habilitation site in durango; report all required maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel; ensure properties are kept clean and free of safety hazards for clients and direct support professionals.
* track and monitor the maintenance and repair needs of our own lives company‑owned vehicles used for day habilitation services and maintain proper documentation of services provided.
* provide assistance in crisis situations and consult with the director of adult services when needed. Assure adequate backup systems are in place and functional.
* participate in the presentation of reports to agency representatives or community when designated or requested.
* notify case management or other appropriate personnel when resources are inadequate or when changes are required to the client's service plan.
* schedule and lead team meetings in collaboration with other administrative staff (adult services director, coo, ceo, residential program manager, employment support manager).
* required to be on call some days, nights, and weekends as part of the emergency phone rotation with other our own lives personnel (phone stipend available for on call).
* other reasonable tasks assigned by the supervisor.


knowledge and responsibilities:

* communicate effectively in writing and in person.
* follow oral and written instructions.
* maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
* ability to interpret rules and regulations.
* adhere to timelines, deadlines, and meeting times.
* work independently as well as part of a team.
* problem solve, learn quickly, and work with minimal oversight.


qualifications:

* four‑year degree, or five years of experience in the disability‑related field.
* living experience and supervisory experience preferred.
* strong written and oral skills.
* leadership and team‑building experience demonstrated.
* computer knowledge is necessary.
* must be able to be on call in rotation.


physical demands:


while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to communicate. The employee must have adequate visual acuity with or without corrections. May be required to lift weights up to and over 50 lbs. The employee may be required to travel to meetings, trainings, and other community activities.
