Vence collar product manager
responsibilities
* own and manage the vence collar throughout its entire product lifecycle.
* define collar vision/strategy focused on value, business outcomes, and user experience.
* create market valuations, value propositions, and business cases for new concepts/capabilities; identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities.
* lead customer discovery, problem definition, value hypotheses, and product experiments.
* partner with the collar technology lead on technical prototypes/feasibility experiments.
* execute customer insight strategies (surveys, farm visits, customer advisory boards) and build relationships with customers, field, and commercial stakeholders.
* translate insights into a prioritized backlog and outcomes-based roadmap.
* collaborate cross-functionally to ensure end‑to‑end delivery, adoption, retention, and growth.
* drive release planning, manufacturing, go‑to‑market execution, and ongoing product support; establish customer success/support models.
* own unit economics/cost targets; maintain/prioritize the product backlog; define/calibrate product metrics and run business reviews.
required qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
* 10+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years of product management of hardware or iot products.
* experience in a product operating model (continuous discovery, outcome‑based planning, empowered cross‑functional teams).
* ability to work across functions; solve complex constrained problems; lead via influence; strong communication and collaboration.
* hardware‑development familiarity (npi, dvt/pvt, manufacturing ramp‑up, field validation).
* willingness to travel to customers.
