Responsibilities
* complete all required company safety training per calendar year (lockout energy, g‑risk, scm, g‑comply, etc.).
* follow established safety procedures and standards.
* participate in safety observation tours (sots) as assigned.
* support and assure g‑comply and g‑risk tagging activities under direction.
process & standard work support
* support development and maintenance of metl content with strategic suppliers.
* provide data, clarification, and verification aligned to tis references.
* cross‑check metl items versus cme special tool lists.
* support ze or process group translating metl data into plant‑specific tis.
cross‑functional collaboration
* participate in pdt, cit, virtual builds, and look‑ahead events.
* capture and communicate issues, gaps, and lessons learned.
* support integration of ppi / iver lessons learned into process content.
tooling & equipment development support
* support tooling and m&e kickoff meetings.
* track actions and open issues.
* support design reviews and mega 1 / mega 2 documentation.
* provide detailed tool inputs such as spindle, sockets, and protections.
engineering change & documentation support
* support ecr execution in e‑merge.
* provide technical input and impact reviews.
* reference vision boe for ecr/ewo support.
* pull and support the generation of maa/mab numbers using mesc when requested.
launch & installation support
* support build events, installations, and launch activities.
* track open tooling and m&e issues using zone boards.
* support startup, tune‑in, and debug activities.
* support gacr during installation windows.
visual management & reporting
* support development and maintenance of zone boards.
* prepare status updates and issue summaries.
* participate in zone board and integration meetings.
* support supplier plant walks, layouts, and data collection.
* provide product math, parts, container, and carrier data.
* support containerization development and interface validation.
validation, quality & continuous improvement
* support level 3 pfmea development.
* support validation and pre‑validation activities.
* assist plant tip and ci activities.
planning & forecasting support
* support timing reviews and plant downtime alignment.
* assist shopping cart forecasting and data accuracy.
other responsibilities
* analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes.
* propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area.
* direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area.
* keep regular contact with partners outside the work group.
* provide direction to a small group of technical employees.
* may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
requirements
* advanced english proficiency, capable of maintaining professional conversations.
* degree in mechatronics, electromechanics, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
* minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
* experience in assembly processes within manufacturing environments.
* strong knowledge of industrial engineering, including line balancing, ergonomics and process analysis.
* knowledge of mechanical design and proficiency with cad software.
* experience in developing and optimizing manufacturing layouts.
* ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
* preferred: experience with teamcenter.
