Job title: materials manager
the role of a materials manager is to oversee the planning, procurement, control, and material flow to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery.
* lead materials planning, purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and traffic functions.
* secure material availability on time and in full to meet production schedules.
* develop sourcing strategies to optimize costs and minimize supply risks.
a key aspect of this role is implementing inventory management policies that balance efficiency, cost, and customer service.
in addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving kpis such as inventory levels, turnover, obsolescence, otif, and forecast accuracy.
you will also coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders for effective supply chain planning.
driving continuous improvement projects in logistics, warehousing, and procurement is essential to increase productivity and reduce costs.
this role requires a strong focus on compliance with corporate policies, trade regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
you will be developing, training, and motivating the materials team to achieve high performance.

required skills and qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, international trade, or related field (master's degree preferred).
* 7+ years of experience in materials, logistics, or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry (automotive or tier 1 experience preferred).
* proven experience leading cross-functional teams.
* strong knowledge of erp/mrp systems (sap, oracle, or equivalent).
* expertise in inventory management, procurement processes, and international trade.
* advanced english language skills required for corporate and international customer interaction.
* strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
